Summer Health

Being prepared is a key element in helping you to stay well, especially in hot weather.  See our handy information guides below.

If you feel unwell our Choose Well page here may help you figure out who to contact and when.

You can help us by looking after yourself and your family and friends:

  • Make sure repeat prescriptions are all ordered and collected before the event

  • Make sure your medicine cabinet is fully stocked (and see our guides below for the best ways to deal with minor health concerns)

  • Make sure you're accessing the right health service for your need (visit our Choose Well page)

  • Act responsibly - if the weather is warm make sure you take plenty of fluids, wear sunscreen, drink alcohol responsibly (see our self help booklet and guides below)

  • If you have a long-term condition, including Asthma, Cardiovascular (heart) disease, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Chronic Renal Disease (CRD), Diabetes and Multiple Sclerosis (MS) see our guides below.
