Travelling by Public Transport

Public transport services are provided by a number of companies in Barnsley. Travel South Yorkshire journey planner.

Travel by bus
Hillder House is opposite Barnsley Hospital, which is well served by buses in and around the borough. Buses run almost every five minutes from town centre.

Travel by train
There are regular train services to Barnsley from Huddersfield, Leeds and Sheffield. From Barnsley Transport Interchange, you can walk, catch a bus or taxi to Hillder House.

Walk or Cycle

Walking
Hillder House is approximately 1.2 miles from Barnsley Interchange and about a 20-minute walk from the town centre.

Cycle
There are secure lock up points if you are travelling by bike.

Travel by Car (postcode S75 2PY)

From 1^st June 2017, the car park at Hillder House is available to staff only between 8am-5pm. Parking is available for meetings after 5pm.

There are two disabled access parking bays for staff and visitors at any time (please speak to reception when you buzz to get in).

Directions to Hillder House from M1 Junction 37

• Take the A628 exit for Barnsley off the junction roundabout, keeping in the left hand lane
• At the 1^st junction turn left onto Pogmoor Road
• Continue on Pogmoor Road
• Car parks are listed on the map 

Parking is available at a number of locations within a short distance of Hillder House. Please do not use areas with local resident permit restrictions.

• There is limited free parking for up to four hours adjacent to St Paul’s Church, Greenfoot Lane, Barnsley.
• The council long stay paid-for parking is available at West Road/Pogmoor Road, across from the Jet garage.
• Barnsley Hospital paid-for parking on Pogmoor Road is for patients and hospital visitors.
