NHS Barnsley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is asking for feedback on what matters most when it comes to choosing a care home. They are also looking for feedback on GP services and how they support Barnsley care home residents. The deadline for feedback has been extended next Friday, 15 December.
GPs, district nurses and care home staff have been working together and the CCG are inviting views and feedback from care home residents, family members and carers.
Brigid Reid, Chief Nurse, Barnsley CCG said “We are always looking at ways we can improve care across Barnsley and we think there are lots of opportunities for how we can better join up care for people living in a care home. We want everyone to have access to high quality GP and district nursing care, wherever they live in the borough. We’re keen to understand what people think about when choosing a care home and what matters most when they receive care. We’d also like feedback on what currently works well, to see how we could share that good practice across the borough.”
The CCG would like to hear from any residents living in a local care home, family members or carers.
