In 2018/19 we asked people to help review and refresh our patient and public engagement strategy. The strategy was developed in collaboration with Barnsley Patient Council and then shared more widely for comments.

The Patient Council reviewed the strategy in October 2018 and felt that it was till current and could broadly form the strategy for 2019/21. Click here to read the notes from that meeting.

The strategy was shared with Healthwatch Barnsley, the local engagement network, service providers and promoted on this website to the wider public.

The final strategy was approved by the CCG engagement and equality committee in February 2019 and will be reported to the Governing Body for assurance in March 2019.
