Recruitment of a Parent/ Carer Representative to the Procurement Panel 

As a Clinical Commissioning Group, or CCG, we are responsible for planning and buying local health services to meet the needs of local people.

Following a recent review of local services, we will be going through a formal re-procurement process for a new Children’s and Young People’s Mental Health Service (CYPMHS). The aim of the procurement is to find a main provider of a CYPMHS in Barnsley and we would like your help with this.

We recognise that the valuable knowledge and experiences of the people who care for children and young people who use these services is second to none. Therefore, it is important that parents/ carers are given the opportunity to be part of the decision making process to find new providers for their service.

We would like to offer you the chance to be part of the team that oversees the process and assesses the potential providers of the new CYPMHS.

Support and training will be provided by members of the CCG Team in relation to the procurement process, marking and scoring the bid documents we receive from potential providers, conflicts of interest and confidentiality amongst other areas.  A named contact will also be provided in order to provide support throughout the process and address any queries that the successful candidates may have.  Out of pocket expenses will be provided in line with our policy here
