Help to shape the future of GP services at Brierly Medical Centre
06 August 2021

Are you a patient at Brierley Medical Centre? You can help to shape the future of GP services at the practice

NHS Barnsley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is asking patients of Brierley Medical Centre to share their experiences of GP services to help inform future plans for the practice.

All GP practices have a contract to provide NHS services that last for a number of years. The current contract for NHS GP services at Brierley Medical Centre is due to come to an end, as planned, on 30 November 2021.

GP services will continue to be provided at Brierley Medical Centre after this date. Nothing will change for patients and they will continue to receive all current health and care services from Brierley Medical Centre.

So that GP services can continue to be offered at Brierley Medical Centre, an open competitive selection process will be undertaken, where any qualified providers of health services can bid for and to carry out the contract.

Registered patients of Brierley Medical Centre can help the local NHS with the selection process by telling us what they think of their GP services. The CCG will use the themes from the feedback to develop some questions to ask all bidders. Get involved and share your views by completing the survey online at www.barnsleyccg.nhs.uk/brierley or by filling out a paper survey which have been sent to each patient.

The CCG team will also be Brierley Methodist Church, Church Street on Wednesday 18th August between from 3:30pm to 4:30pm and 5:00pm to 6pm to take feedback.

The closing date for feedback is Thursday 19th August.
